This policy applies to both our marketing website (daqs.io) and the DAQS platform itself, including the DAQS Assist integration for Revit. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal data
When you create an account or use our platform, we may collect:

- Phone number (if provided)
- Company name and job title
Usage data
We automatically collect information about how you use our platform, including:
- IP address and browser type

- Page visits and click behaviour
- Session duration and navigation patterns
Technical and model data
When using the DAQS platform, we also process technical data derived from BIM models (via Autodesk Platform Services / APS). This data is used for quality analysis and is generally not personal data.

4. How we use your data
We use your data exclusively for the following purposes:
- Providing and maintaining our services
- Managing your user account
- Communicating about your use of the platform
- Improving platform performance and user experience

- Analysing usage to identify trends and friction points

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

Hosting partner

We may share data with public authorities or regulators if legally required to do so.
Business transfer
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of (part of) our business, your data may be transferred to the acquiring party. We will ensure your data remains protected and will notify you if this occurs.
7. Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. In practice, we apply the following retention periods:
- Account data: for the duration of your account, plus a maximum of 12 months thereafter.
- Usage data and log files: a maximum of 12 months.
- Data we are legally required to retain for longer is kept for as long as the law requires.
8. Security
We take the security of your data seriously and apply the following measures:
- All communication between your browser and our servers uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
- All communication between DAQS Assist for Revit and our servers is encrypted.
- Communication with Autodesk Platform Services follows the security standards required by Autodesk.
- Access to personal data is restricted to employees and systems that require it.
Data breaches
Should we discover a data breach despite our measures, we will:
- Take immediate steps to limit the damage.
- Assess the breach and notify the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) where required.
- Inform affected users if their data may have been compromised.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

11. International data transfers
All your data is stored within the European Union, on Hetzner servers located in Germany. We do not transfer your data outside the EU unless exceptional circumstances require it. In that case, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission.
12. Minors
Our services are intended exclusively for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you suspect we have inadvertently processed data relating to a minor, please contact us so we can address this as quickly as possible.
13. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. DAQS B.V. is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party website before providing personal information.
